Dan Leamons is a lifetime resident of Arkansas, living in Gurdon. As a child he always loved to draw people, places and things - both real and imaginary. As an adult, art got put on the back burner as college, career, and family took priority. In 2007, Dan rediscovered his love for art, and began drawing again, and eventually to paint in acrylic and oil. In recent years, Dan has shown in several exhibitions and won awards in portraiture, landscapes, and still life. Dan has works in private collections across the USA, as well as in Guatemala and Canada.
Utilizing a background in Information Systems, Dan maintains his own website with an online gallery of his paintings, as well as a calendar of upcoming shows and exhibits. When work and website maintenance allow free time, Dan can be found in his studio at his house surrounded by family and numerous pets. Dan's subject matter covers many categories - simple still life settings, beautiful sunsets, local and exotic wildlife, delicate flowers, and heartwarming portraits. Dan divides his time between commissioned works and new works straight from the heart.
